ExtMania (File Extensions Management System) is an utility for managing file extensions and programs intending for opening and displaying files of certain types.

Possibly, many can remember a situation when a just installed program, without informing you, associates with itself certain files that you are used to open and read with the use of some other utility.

On the other hand, many of you are aware of that some Internet browsers work faster and are more stable, while others display certain types of pages more correctly.

Besides, and this is the most interesting feature, ExtMania monitors all file associations and automatically adds newly installed programs to the lists. ExtMania will immediately alert you to any attempt on the part of any program to associate any one file type with itself.
